陈国跃,博士,教授,博士生导师十一五以来,依托四川麦区在条锈病研究方面具有的独特生态和地缘优势,长期聚焦小麦农家种条锈病抗源发掘、持久抗病新基因克隆及抗病与产量协同改良新种质创制研究。依托十一五十二五国家科技支撑计划、十三五十四五国家重点研发计划、国家农业重大科技项目、国家自然科学基金及四川省麦类育种攻关、农业重大专项、生物育种、四川省自然科学基金等项目,通过在室内和田间条锈菌诱导环境下对来自中国不同麦区的近5000余份小麦农家种进行了条锈病抗性表型精准鉴定,结合高通量分子标记技术,通过表型-标记全基因组关联分析技术,筛选到一批可供小麦抗条锈病育种利用的优异抗源;并主导开展了包括小禾麦、高县光头、安岳红、酉阳光头、宜宾猪儿等农家种的抗病新基因发掘工作,鉴定到QYr.868-2ASYrAYHYr.DHP-6ASYrAS1676YrXH-1ALQYr.GX-2ASQYr.AYH-5BLQYr.GTM-5DQYr.YBZR-6AL等抗条锈病新基因。通过建立农家种产量与抗病性协同改良技术体系,构建了Yr基因定向转育改良群体,将来自农家种的10余个条锈病抗性新基因进行转育、聚合和组装,创制了一批携带不同抗性基因组合、具有全生育期持久抗性且与产量协同改良的小麦新种质,为条锈病抗性遗传改良提供了新型基因源和亲本材料。近年来围绕中国小麦农家种条锈病抗性鉴定、评价、新基因发掘及育种利用等研究,主持或作为研究骨干参与国家重点研发计划课题及子课题、国家自然科学基金面上项目和四川省自然科学基金面上项目等国家及省部级项目10余项,在《Nature Communications》、《Theoretical and Applied Genetics》、《The Crop Journal》、《Plant Disease》、《Phytopathology》、《BMC Plant Biology》、《BMC Genomics》、《BMC Genetics》、《Plant Science》、《Journal of Heredity》、《Crop Protection》、《作物学报》、《中国农业科学》、《植物保护学报》等国内外知名杂志发表50余篇论文;获得涉及条锈病抗性新基因及其育种利用授权国家发明专利6项。小麦条锈病抗性基因源的发掘与育种利用作为小麦重要育种目标性状基因的鉴定与利用小麦近缘资源发掘及种质创新与利用西南小麦产量性状遗传解析与育种利用成果的重要组成部分,分别获得2011年度和2016年度四川省科技进步一等奖及2024年度四川省自然科学奖二等奖。主研选育小麦品种20余个;主编(或副主编)出版专著2部;指导研究生获校级优秀博士学位论文1篇、优秀硕士学位论文3篇。
